Job Title: Volunteer Coordinator
Overview: Your Rugby Club is seeking a dedicated and organised individual to take on the essential role of Volunteer Coordinator. In this volunteer position, you will lead a team of volunteers, ensuring that critical tasks around the club are carried out efficiently and effectively.
This role is vital to the smooth operation and success of the club, as we are currently seeking to expand our volunteer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers to assist with various club activities.
- Organise, assign, and oversee tasks for volunteers to ensure smooth club operations.
- Communicate effectively with volunteers and other club members, providing guidance and support.
- Ensure that volunteers have the necessary training and tools for their duties.
- Report on volunteer activities and ensure all jobs are completed to a high standard.
- Working closely with the Club committee
Examples of Tasks to Coordinate Volunteers For:
- Opening and managing the Beehive during the week, including training volunteers on operating the till, coffee machine, and other equipment.
- Organising car park attendants for club events.
- Supervising general maintenance and gardening around the club grounds and clubhouse.
- Coordinating painting, decorating, and other minor improvement projects.
- Ensuring all club signage is up to date, in good condition, and properly displayed.
- Assisting with various ad hoc tasks as they arise.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, an excellent organiser, and a natural leader who is passionate about the success of the club. Experience in managing volunteers or a team would be beneficial, but the most important attribute is a willingness to get involved and make a positive impact.
